Behavioral
Tool for Living and Learning
The Child Behavior Toolbox is a single source
of thousands of ideas. These strategies have been
developed by a team of highly trained psychologists,
working with occupational therapists, speech and
language pathologists, teachers and dieticians.
It's being used by pediatricians, family physicians,
social workers, psychiatrists, teachers, nurses
and psychologists - people who work every day
with children, helping them build the skills they
will require to be successful.

Only three steps are required to use the Child
Behavior Toolbox. Select the child's age range
from three categories: infant to 2 years, 2 to
5 years, or 5 to 12 years. Pick from one of three
areas: home, pre-school or school. Then choose
from one of eight developmental issues listed
above.
You can discover a package of practical and proven
strategies. If a ten-year-old girl is bothered
by teasing, choose from over 30 strategies and
pick the ones you think would work best. If a
young child has trouble obeying rules and meeting
behavioural expectations at home or in school,
try one of the approximately 60 strategies. If
you're counselling parents about exploratory play
for infants, choose from approximately 30 practical
and creative strategies parents can use.
